Health Export

Support and FAQ

Answers about Apple Health permissions, export formats, local files, automatic updates, and privacy.

What does Health Export do?

Health Export reads the Apple Health data types you approve and exports them into files you can keep, open, analyze, or automate with. Supported outputs include CSV, JSON, NDJSON, SQLite, Apple Health-style XML, GPX routes, Markdown summaries, and PDF summaries.

Why does the app need Apple Health access?

Health Export needs read permission for the data types you want to export. You can choose which categories to allow in Apple's Health permission sheet. To change access later, open the Health app, go to Sharing, then Apps, then Health Export.

Where are exported files saved?

Exports are saved locally on your iPhone in Health Export's Documents folder. You can open or share finished exports from the app.

How do automatic plans work?

An automatic plan first loads history from the start date you choose. After that, iOS runs background updates when it can. Background timing is not exact, so the selected time is a target rather than a guarantee.

Why does some data look missing?

Health Export can only read data that already exists in Apple Health and that you have allowed it to read. Some connected fitness apps update Apple Health only after you open them, so open those apps occasionally if you expect fresh records.

What is the webhook setting?

The webhook is optional and advanced. If you enter a URL, Health Export sends newly exported records as JSON to that URL. Leave it blank if you do not want the app to send data outside your device.

Does Health Export provide medical advice?

No. Health Export is a file export utility for your own records. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or recommend medical care.

How do I get help?

Email support@yannickstudio.com and include your iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were trying to export. Do not send Health data unless you choose to include it.
